Treatment and Beneficial Reuse of Grit
Abstract:Many different by-products arise from sewerage facilities, for example, sludge, incinerator ash, grit, etc. as the end result of sewerage treatment. At the present time, according to national data, about half the volume of these by-products is beneficially recycled while the rest is disposed of in landfills, the latter is presenting many difficulties because of the shortage of landfill space and ecological protection movements in recent years.
