BASINS - The Next Generation
Abstract:Better Assessment Science Integrating point and Nonpoint Sources (BASINS) is a geographic-based watershed assessment tool developed by EPA's Office of Water to help states and others more easily develop TMDLs on waterbodies that fail to attain water quality standards. Version 3 was released in the summer of 2001. This paper discusses some of the new features that are in development and the efforts that have been initiated that will result in the release of Version 4.
