Two stage odor control facilities featuring biotrickling filters and biofilters provide a “green” solution to collection system odor control. As an alternative to chemical addition, the City of Los Angeles is installing seven biological odor control facilities in its collection
system. The facilities, which will be designed to treat H2S concentrations up to 150 ppm, will be chemical free, operator friendly, relatively maintenance free, and aesthetically pleasing.
