STARTING THE EMS PROCESS
Creating a Biosolids Environmental Management System for many agencies and municipalities can be overwhelming and time consuming. The thought of developing and implementing a biosolids management system that is transparent, available to the public, and audited by an independent third party can deter many from starting the process. The agencies are faced with the questions: who is involved, where do I begin, and how long will the process take? A simple way to address the fears and help agencies make the decision to develop and implement a Biosolids Environmental Management System is to provide answers to these questions.
