The electric utility is part of the community infrastructure. This role is intensified by an underlying civic responsibility to the community. Communities rely on electricity for their livelihood, medical well being, security, communications, and emergency response. TEC has taken measures to promote employee preparedness and develop contingency plans that allow the company to respond to any type of emergency with minimal business disruption. TEC participates in the County Emergency Operation Centers within our service areas to serve in Search and Rescue teams and coordinate power restoration efforts within the community.
