AUTOMATIC CONTOL OF THICKENING CENTRIFUGES AT WASTEWATER PLANT
Abstract:As Wastewater treatment plants are looking to optimize their solids processing operations, one large plant inNew Jersey selected Thickening Centrifuges. The control aspects of using Thickening Centrifuges at the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commissioners (PVSC) wastewater treatment plant in Newark, N. J. is described in this paper. Innovative use of state-of-the art technologies for the control system including on-line analyzers (streaming current, sludge density) seldom utilized for control in this application are described.
