ASSESS INSTALLED STATE-OF-THE-ART WWTP SENSING AND CONTROL SYSTEMS
Abstract:In the past, there have often been unrealistic expectations associated with the care and maintenance of instrumentation. In addition, competitive pressures to manage costs and stabilize rates are being felt. All this creates the need to consider increased use of automatic process control based on advanced strategies and online monitors. This WERF-sponsored project has compiled a large body of information on successful and problematic practices and has revealed findings that will assist managers in making their decisions to automate with confidence andproper expectations regarding long-term performance.
