Abstract:

During 1999–2000, Warner Lambert Company (now Pfizer, Inc.) built a new and innovative wastewater treatment system (WWTS) in Guangzhou, China for treatment of high strength industrial wastewater from a confectionery plant. This plant manufactures various confectionery products (hard and soft candies, mints, and gum). This new treatment system was designed to replace an old non-performing wastewater treatment system.
