Abstract:Today, I'm going to touch on the Institute's involvement in a variety of activities which directly or indirectly affect wastewater facilities using chlorine as their disinfectant. I also will include some comments relevant to those facilities that have switched or are considering a switch to an alternate form of disinfection. At the end of this presentation, I will present specific safety resources and materials available to you not only from the Chlorine Institute, but also from other associations, government agencies, and some non-government organizations. Before I get into these issues, I want to tell you what has occurred to bring me here today in support of this technical session.
