Currently in the United States we have identified urban wet weather water quality needs exceeding 100 billion. These needs are based on water quality standards that were adopted without consideration to Urban Wet Weather conditions and needs. New Water Quality Standards Guidance by USEPA calls for the review and where appropriate revision of Water Quality Standards for Urban Wet Weather discharges
