SELECTION OF ODOR CONTROL TECHNOLOGIES FOR BIOSOLIDS STABILIZATION PROCESSES
Abstract:Odor control is a vital component of any biosolids stabilization process. When designing a biosolids stabilization facility, it is important to factor in the capital and O&M costs associated with the odor control system because those costs can be significant. Selection of the proper odor control system for a stabilization process can assist in effective odor removal while minimizing costs. Several issues should be considered when selecting an odor control system: chemical composition and concentration of the odors, the level of odor reduction required, the amount of odorous air to be treated, the proximity of receptors, and site constraints.
