Abstract:

EPA's recently revised Nutrient Standards Guidance emphasizes the need to consider regional and seasonal differences when identifying appropriate nutrient standards. A study of nutrient dynamics in the Malibu Creek watershed in Southern California reinforces this advice, and suggests that even regional standards may be too “broadbrush.” This presentation will present finding of this study.
