BUILDING AND KEEPING AN EXCELLENT WORKFORCE
Abstract:Attracting and retaining a highly motivated workforce is crucial to the success of a services business. This is the case with wastewater treatment services. It is even more challenging when the employees have come through an unexpected change as is often the case with contract operations. As such Woodard & Curran has developed an approach to align personal and professional goals, and support with resources and incentives to help bring their teams together. This has proven successful, as the O&M team within the firm has grown from a staff of 10 to over 150 in 7 years, with minimal turnover. The success is due to proper goal setting, alignment, resource support and a well-defined incentive system.
