	abstract = "MSD owned and operated a Septage Receiving Facility (SRF) at 4010 Bells Lane in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky until July 1999. The MSD SRF discharged untreated septage to the Morris Forman Wastewater Treatment Plant (MFWTP). In September 1993, MSD began to progressively modify the SRF operation. In the process of modification, three private facilities came into being. These new facilities now handle the majority of hauled waste once discharged to the SRF. These facilities are:<P></P>&#60;list list-type&#61;"bullet"&#62; &#60;list-item&#62;<P></P>Industrial Water Recycling, Jeffersonville, Indiana&#60;/list-item&#62; &#60;list-item&#62;<P></P>Affordable Waste Control, Louisville, Kentucky&#60;/list-item&#62; &#60;list-item&#62;<P></P>Advanced Filtration, Louisville, Kentucky&#60;/list-item&#62; &#60;/list&#62;<P></P>The modifications to the operation of the SRF created opportunity for new companies. The modifications effectively reduced the types of waste accepted at the SRF until only septage, the pumpings from private treatment plants, and septic tanks remained.",
