The Las Vegas Wash (Wash) drains all water from a 1,600 square mile watershed into Las Vegas Bay (Bay), an arm of Lake Mead. Within that watershed lies the Las Vegas, Nevada metropolitan area, home to 1,300,000 residents and playground to over 30,000,000 visitors each year. All of the wastewater generated by the resident and visitor population is highly treated by three entities – the City of Las Vegas, the City of Henderson, and the Clark County Sanitation District – collectively known as the Clean Water Coalition (CWC).
