Abstract:
The hydrogenation behavior of tetralin in the presence and absence of benzothiophene was studied over a charcoal-supported rhodium catalyst in supercritical carbon dioxide solvent. The catalyst activity, as well as cis-decalin selectivity, decreased in the presence of benzothiophene. Keywords: SUPERCRITICAL CARBON DIOXIDE; HYDROGENATION; TETRALIN; CIS-DECALIN
