Abstract:

Some aspects of electrical conduction through resonant states in metallic electrochemical nanowires are briefly discussed in a semi-quantitative way by means of concepts associated with electron gas, conductance quantization, and Fermi energy level. Aspects related to some experimental data are also discussed.
