Theoretical evaluation of electron mobility in multi-walled carbon nanotubes

Abstract:

Electron drift mobility in multi-walled carbon nanotubes is calculated by using the concept of Fermi velocity and the fact that the mean free path of the electrons in the above tubes is much longer than the tube length. Electron mobility is found to be quantized so that this mobility scales with the number of layers of a given multiwalled carbon nanotube.
