Theoretical determination of the photon rest-mass

Abstract:
A mathematical expression for the photon rest-mass as a function of wavelength is derived by considering the fact that the refractive index of photons in free space depends upon wavelength and by considering the Sellmeier formula. In this context, free space does not coincide with vacuum.Document Type: Research article
