Abstract: Interlaced chiral sculptured thin films (STFs) are proposed. The main spectral feature – the circular Bragg phenomenon – of the axial excitation response of a tightly interlaced chiral STF is shown to be an "average" of the same features individually displayed by the constituent chiral STFs.
