Abstract:

This article summarises the most important topics that were discussed during the Archaeology session in the “Tree Rings and People” conference in Davos, Switzerland. Main topics are the relation between the archaeologists and dendrochronologists and the future perspectives of dendrochronology in the field of archaeology. A more specific aspect is the discussion of databases, data exchange and data formats in the dendrochronological community.
