Open Access A high-latitude, mesophotic Cycloseris field at 85 m depth off Rapa Nui (Easter Island)

A 85-m deep mushroom coral field was discovered off Easter Island consisting entirely of Cycloseris vaughani. Most corals showed self-fragmentation, which is not common for this species. This aggregation is also remarkable because of its depth, high latitude, and remote eastward location.
