Acanthodasys silvulus new species and Paraturbanella aggregotubulata new species constituted the Macrodasyida; Neodasys ciritus new species, Chaetonotus sagittarius new species, and Halichaetonotus bataceus new species comprised the Chaetonotida. Acanthodasys silvulus differs from its two congeners in the smaller size of the cuticular armature, the distribution of lateral adhesive tubes, and the size of the caudal appendage S. Paraturbanella aggregotubulata possesses dorsal adhesive tubes, and has lateral adhesive tubes that are clumped in the mid-trunk region. Neodasys ciritus, a well-known but previously undescribed species, is distinguished by two columns of pigmented-cells positioned along the lateral margins of the digestive tract that impart a rusty-red color to the animal. It also lacks a caudal peduncle. Chaetonotus sagittarius and H. bataceus differ from their congeners primarily in the morphology and distribution of their cuticular armature.", }
