Abstract:Calcisabella piloseta, a new genus and species of Sabellinae (Polychaeta: Sabellidae), is described from Lizard Island, Great Barrier Reef, Australia. Most characters of the new species are typical of those in genera of the Sabellinae, but the combination of characters differs from those found in all other Sabellinae genera.
