Seasonal Variations in Oyster Meat Yields in Apalachicola Bay, Florida
Seasonal patterns in the yield of oyster meat for Apalachicola Bay, Florida, are analyzed from previously unpublished statistics derived from commercial sources. The seasonal patterns are shown to be highly regular. Consistently, yields are lowest in the summer, increase through the fall and early winter, and usually peak in March.
