Abstract:
A mean annual high water is described as the only tidal datum whose line on shore would circumscribe entire salt marshes. All other established or proposed high water datum lines enclose a fraction of the marsh proportional to tide amplitude and thus exhibit geographical biases.Document Type: Research article
