Abstract:Late stage phyllosoma larvae of Scyllarus were observed attached to the exumbrellar surface of Aurelia aurita Linné medusae off the coast of Bimini, Bahamas. Possible functions of protection and energy conservation are postulated. Previous reported phyllosoma-medusa associations were for the Pacific region only.
