A complex of seven closely allied, morphologically extremely similar species, i.e., Paguristes tortugae, P. hewatti, P. anomalus, and four species new to science, are described and illustrated in detail. A key to the species of the complex is presented. Intraspecific variation
and interspecific overlap of presumably diagnostic characters are discussed as they pertain to the Paguristes tortugae complex.
