Free Content Coccolithophorids of the Gulf of Mexico

An examination of ten large samples of water and eight net hauls collected during the R/V Alaminos cruises 66-A-14 and 68-A-12 in the Gulf of Mexico revealed the presence of 33 coccolithophorid taxa. The taxa are listed, with references to current literature. Original photomicrographs and transmission and scanning electronmicrographs are included in this paper.
