The fishes of the family Callionymidae found in the western Atlantic are reviewed. Species of the genus Draconetta are considered as members of this family, and are represented in this region by D. acanthopoma and D. oregona. Additional information including illustrations are presented on the juveniles, the lateral-line system, and the distribution for both Draconetta species.

Western Atlantic species of Callionymus are revised. The three species of the region are Callionymus agassizi, C. bairdi, and C. pauciradiatus.

Keys and illustrations of all these species are presented, and the affinities with cognate species of other regions are discussed briefly.
