Free Content Observaciones Sobre el Plancton de la Laguna de Términos, Campeche, México

Abstract:

Se estudian 177 muestras de plancton de la Laguna de Términos, Campeche, México, obtenidas durante marzo-abril de 1959. El fitoplancton, en cantidades superiores al 90 por ciento, ocupa la mayor parte de la laguna. Entre los componentes más abundantes aparecen Bacteriastrum, Nitzschia, Chaetoceros, Coscinodiscus y Pleurosigma. Dentro del zooplancton los grupos más notables son: larvas nauplius, copépodos, tintínidos y larvas de gasterópodos. Los volúmenes de plancton fluctúan entre 0.08 ml/m3 y 19.32 ml/m3. Se registran y analizan las relaciones entre las variaciones de la salinidad y la temperatura y los componentes más abundantes del fitoplancton y zooplancton.
