Free Content Protoplankton of the Benguela-Guinea Current Region

This paper records the species of phytoplankton collected from depths to 100 m at 4 stations in the Gulf of Guinea and discusses their depth relations. The similarity between the phytoplankton of this area and that of the Florida Straits and adjacent waters is pointed out. The flora is also very similar in species composition to tropical waters in the Pacific and Indian Oceans.
