The anatomy of Cittarium pica (Linnaeus) is described and illustrated. Various aspects are compared with the same features in species of Calliostoma, Gibbula, Monodonta, Astraea and Turbo, and with the pleurotomariacean Mikadotrochus amabilis as described by Fretter, in order to determine the influence of size alone on the observed differences between the smaller species of trochaceans and the larger trochaceans and pleurotomariaceans.
