Studies on Development of Stomatopod Crustacea
I. Early Larval Stages of Gonodactylus Oerstedii Hansen
Four early larval stages of Gonodactylus oerstedii were obtained from eggs hatched in the laboratory. Three propelagic stages and one pelagic stage were described and illustrated. Literature dealing with larvae of Gonodactylus species and some other stomatopods were reviewed and the data summarized. Larvae of this genus are grossly similar but show differences in detail of armature and time of appearance of various structures.
