A Water Soluble Pigment of the Nudibranch, Hypselodoris Edenticulata

Abstract:The pigment of Hypselodoris edenticulata (White) leaches in neutral 10 per cent formalin. The pigment has been partially purified. Its chemical, spectral, and solubility characteristics suggest it is different from the known molluscan pigments and not related to the usual animal pigments.
