Free Content Observations on Phoronis architecta in Florida Waters

The known distribution of Phoronis architecta in Florida waters is extended from Alligator Harbor to Miami. Sections have been prepared to show that all phoronid populations sampled belong to this solitary sand-dwelling species. Densities of 45/sq. ft were found. The breeding season at Alligator Harbor is at least from February to December.
