Free Content An Analysis of the Relation of the Vertical Distribution of Three Copepods to Environmental Conditions

The vertical distribution of three species of copepods has been determined from about 400 net hauls. This is analyzed in terms of temperature, illumination, pressure and a seasonal cycle probably associated with successive broods. Variations of behavior within the populations are demonstrated as well as diurnal rhythms in behavior.
