Investigations have been made to determine whether any simple, linear correlations exist between Red Tide outbreaks and various ambient phenomena. Outbreaks are compared with rainfall, tropical disturbances, and river runoff. A pattern of cyclic recurrence of outbreaks is presented.
An attempt is made to show the path of individual outbreaks.
