Abstract:
The genus Auchenistius is synonymized with the genus Stathmonotus. Stathmonotus is included in the family Clinidae. Errors in the literature pertaining to the classification of the Clinidae and Blenniidae are discussed. A key is given to all the species of Stathmonotus and the Atlantic forms are reviewed. Stathmonotus gymnodermis n. sp. is described.Document Type: Research article
