The results of investigation of the reasons for the formation of cracks in structures made of EP202 and EK61 alloys were presented. Recommendations are given which take into account the main criteria for the evaluation of thermal stresses and strains in order to produce a fine-grained structure and improve the plasticity of the alloy.
