Abstract:

It is established that resistance welding machine's transformer winding discs thicknesses growth higher than certain critical value causes loss increase and excessive consumption of the winding copper. An analytical calculation of this value is given. Relative units' application in analytic expressions considerably simplifies disc critical thickness calculation.
