Abstract:

Turkey's indigenous energy sources are limited, and the country is heavily dependent on the import of primary energy from abroad. The growth of Turkey's industry is giving rise to a substantial increase energy demand. In this work, the primary energy production and consumption in Turkey over the period 1980-1999 is investigated. Also given is the energy demand projection in Turkey until 2020.
