Abstract:

The authors are thankful to Tarkan Erdik and Zekai Sen for their keen interest in our article (M. Jaya Bharata Reddy and D. K. Mohanta, “A wavelet-neuro-fuzzy combined approach for digital relaying of transmission line faults,” Elect. Power Compon. Syst., Vol. 35, No. 12, pp. 1385-1407, 2007) and providing some comments for further elaboration. The discussion raises some points, and this reply is intended to provide some clarifications for other researchers as well.
