Design and Performance of a Small Doubly-Salient Rotor-Permanent-Magnet Motor
It is the aim of the paper to present the design, performance analysis, and implementation of a small doubly-salient rotor-permanent-magnet (DSRPM) motor usable in household positioning appliances. The configuration, operating principle, static performance, and dynamic simulation of the small DSRPM motor are investigated. Electronic commutation and basic control of the prototype DSRPM motor are reported, and tests are carried out on an experimental setup.
