Abstract:
We present a methodology to generate, from SeaWiFS data, 2-km resolution maps of the globe that optimally combine the full spatial resolution Local Area Coverage imagery received at ground stations, and the sub-sampled Global Area Coverage data recorded on board the satellite. Monthly maps display estimates of the Fraction of Absorbed Photosynthetically Active Radiation over terrestrial surfaces and the surface chlorophyll concentration over oceanic areas.Language: English
