Abstract:

A new single-resistance-controlled/voltage-controlled sinusoidal oscillator using two current-feedback amplifiers (CFAs) is presented. One of the significant features of this oscillator is that its oscillation frequency can be controlled by the ratio of two resistors. Moreover, this oscillator provides the following advantages: (i) controllable oscillation frequency by a grounded resistor; (ii) easily converted into a voltage-controlled oscillator; (iii) suitable for very low-frequency oscillation; (iv) use of the grounded capacitors which are suitable for IC implementation; (v) low passive sensitivities; (vi) buffered output. Experimental results that confirm the theoretical analysis are obtained.
