Results of a progeny test by the Milk Marketing Board of England and Wales on their “C” series Charolais bulls imported from France in 1968, have now been computed. The “C” series progeny all Charolais x Friesian steers were reared under standard management conditions on the MMB`s beef progeny testing station, Warren Farm in Berkshire. The calves were brought in from commercial farms at 10 days of age, and their growth rates were recorded from an age of 8 weeks to slaughter at 11 months…
