The synthesis of 3-heteroaryl-substituted tetrahydrofurans from the propargyl derivative of Baylis-Hillman adducts of heteroaryl aldehydes by n-Bu3SnH-mediated 5-exo-trig vinyl radical cyclization in high yield is reported.
