Abstract:
Progress in radical chemistry of C─C bond formation reactions as well as C-heteroatom (halogen, O, S, Se) and C─C bonds cleavage reactions under reductive conditions, involving phosphonate C-centered radicals, is reviewed with special emphasis on the achievements during the past seven years in iodine atom transfer addition (I-ATRA) and cyclization (I-ATRC) reactions, which were developed in this laboratory.Keywords: I-ATRA and I-ATRC reactions; phosphonate; radical; radical asymmetric induction; radical C─C and C-heteroatom (halogen, S, Se) bonds scission; radical C─C bond formation
