Abstract:

The aim of this study is to give an axiomatic bases to an algorithm to construct fuzzy IF-THEN inference systems. These axioms are the six axioms of an injective MV-algebra [10]. The algorithm utilizes many-valued equivalence. The algorithm has a special feature that the intelligence of the inference relies only on many-valued equivalence and on the knowledge of a human expert. Thus, technical defuzzification methods are not needed. A real unit interval based prototype of the algorithm was introduced in [3].
